V- – The selection of Face Brick for a home is one of the most important decisions the building contractor and home owner are required to make. On the brick selected depends very largely the appearance of the finished house. Mistakes cannot be remedied once the bricks are in the wall—therefore choose wisely.
Do not be too greatly influenced by the cost of brick per 1,000—the best is nearly always the cheap- est in the end and it costs more to lay poor bricks than good ones. You will likely find that “Belden Brick” cost little if any more than ordinary brick laid in the wall and they are worth a lot more.
Bear in mind, also that additions are frequently made to homes and be sure that you buy brick which can be matched at any future time. We are frequently called on to furnish Belden Brick to match bricks we sold years ago, and can always do so.
