Description
Structolite Tile are a fireproof, load-bearing tile. They are manufactured without aggregates, are easily cut, and can be nailed into as readily as wood. Standard sizes are 8”.16” face and 6” and 8” in thickness. Both sizes are available in hold tile for backing up brickwork. The 8” unit weighs about 25 pounds and the 6” about 19 pounds. This light weight combined with their smooth surface makes them particularly easy to handle. Manufactured complete under the careful supervision of the United States Gypsum Company, they are uniform. ill size, shape, strength and quality.
*Insulation
Insulation is an outstanding feature of Structolite tile construction. Modern standards of comfortable living demand insulation. Homes shat are warmer in winter and cooler in summer command a higher resale value. The economy of insulation in lower first cost for a heat ing plant and continued annual savings in fuel, is quickly demonstrated.
*Fireproofness
Structolite tile do not burn, will not transmit heat at high temperatures, and do not expand or contract under the action of fire.
*Low Up-keep
Manufactured from Gypsum rock by a special process, Structolite develops a strength of two thousand politids per square inch. The rock-like characteristics are retained aml a durable masonry construction with its very minimum of upkeep expense results. Masonry represents strength, and incombustibility \Odell are the important factors in durability.
*Adaptability
