Dry Walls:
Kalamazoo tile is burned at such high temperatures and the clay so perfectly fused that the blocks are absolutely impervious to moisture, and properly laid, cannot absorb moisture even through the mortar joint.

Above All:
Bear in mind that Kalamazoo vitrified glazed tile is not to be confused with cheap grades of
common partition, back-up and drain tile, but is a highly specialized product of 100% fire clay, comparable in every respect to
the finest face brick, and developed primarily for fine house construction.

The great variety of special shapes of Kalamazoo blocks, combined with t h e i r uniformity, makes them thoroughly adaptable to virtually every type of masonry construction. On the le f t is illustrated the construction details of a typical t w o story and basement building, t h e tile being available for four and eight inch walls, and multiples thereof.
